Old School RuneScape has just launched its sixth limited-time league event, inviting MMO enthusiasts to dive into a new experience. This event allows players to explore new servers under the influence of the hellish Yama. Titled 'Demonic Pacts', the event has already attracted over 150,000 players within hours of its release.
Running until June 10th, Demonic Pacts restricts access to the starting zones of Lumbridge and Draynor, instead placing players in the relatively new area of Varlamore. From this point, players will face a massive list of tasks that dramatically change the traditional RuneScape gameplay with powerful new pacts.
With boosted experience rates and infinite run energy, the league offers a faster-paced approach to the grindy MMO, allowing adventurers to level up with relative ease. Players can also benefit from relics that provide significant advantages, such as toothless resource gathering, automatic smelting, and cooking, among other features.

The titular demonic pacts take the form of a Path of Exile-style skill tree. By completing specific tasks, players can create quirky builds that completely alter the game's dynamics. For instance, crossbows that always hit their maximum damage turn a slower ranged damage type into a walking cannon. Fortunately, these abilities are respecable, encouraging experimentation.
Players who complete these tasks can transfer special trophies and cosmetic unlocks back to the regular Old School RuneScape servers. While some of these tasks may seem daunting, the majority are quite simple for now. Tasks like milking a buffalo, getting a haircut, crying in front of a child, and picking cabbages are just a few of the prime options available.
